About Me

My wife and I consider ourselves incredibly lucky to live in the heart of New York City (Chelsea) and also have a modest second home in Orange County, California. Each, in its own way, is a photographer's paradise.
 

For more than four decades I made my living as a computer professional. After several years of technical consulting for major corporations, I became a software developer, designing and marketing my own products.

Photography had been a long time interest, but it became more central after I sold my business. I studied film photography at Cooper Union and at the Escuela de Bellas Artes in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

My present winter location in California gives me access to sophisticated resources. Digital photography, plus my computer background, allows me a range of creative options I could never have achieved in a traditional darkroom setting. These days I rarely ever use traditional film.
